Asia Music Festival (AMF) 2018: The Ultimate Singing Idol

We are opening the first ever Karaoke Competition with a category.  We know that the prize will not be that much but we hope you can support us on this new contest – ASIA MUSIC FESTIVAL (AMF) 2018: THE ULTIMATE SINGING IDOL.  Please read the mechanics below and register by filling out the form at the end.

 POF 2018 The Ultimate Singing Idol Rules and Mechanics

  1. There will be a registration fee of Php20.00 (25% will go to our CausePlay project)
  2. This contest will only be open to 20 participants.
  3. Pre-registered participants are required to confirm at the event date and venue from 10am to 11:00am.
  4. There will be no onsite registration.
  5. The event starts at 11:00AM on June 3, 2018.
  6. Contestant must perform one (1) FULL SONG from any (Japanese anime series/anime OVA or J-rock song).
  7. The theme of the song must be related to the event theme of “AI” or “LOVE” with exception to Tagalized Star category.
  8. The song must be in Japanese unless the original lyrics is in English or contains English in the lyrics.
  9. Contestants will be divided according to the category and will perform by category.
  10. Each contestant can only join 1 category.
  11. Contestant must bring their own copy of their mp3 file. MP3 song in USB and should be in KARAOKE (NO VOICE).
  12. The time limit for each contestant is maximum of five (5) minutes total.
  13. Contestants should be in strict compliance with their call time. Late performers would not be allowed to perform if it is going to affect the schedule flow of the event.
  14. The organizers hold the right to disqualify any competitor for any poor behavior displayed by or that go against any of the rules stated.
  15. The organizers holds the right to go against any judge’s score sheets/decisions if any wrongdoing is found or suspected. (Falsification of scores, sabotage.
  16. Decision of the JUDGES IS FINAL and UNAPPEALABLE.

POF 2018 The Ultimate Singing Idol Prizes and Categories

  • Karaoke Duet: Sing to the tune of your favorite anime, cartoons or movie theme song in duet style.
  • Tagalized Star: Translate your favorite anime theme song into its own Filipino counterpart.
  • Banzai!: Translate your favorite OPM songs into your own Japanese version as long as there is no official translation or version yet.
  • Each category winner will receive Php1,000 worth of Ayala Malls Electronic Gift Certificate

AMF 2018: The Ultimate Singing Idol Judging

  1. There will be three (3) judges for the competition.
  2. Judges will not be facing the contestant while they are performing.
  3. If the judge like the performance that is the only time they will face the stage and rate the contestants.
  4. Criteria for judging will be as follows:
  • Duo Category
    • Voice Quality — 40%  (in-tune voice quality to the original song, suits their voice and right notes perfectly.
    • Lyrics –  25%  (synchronization with the lyrics of the song.)
    • Stage Presence — 25% confidence, stage presence, style Interaction with the audience, etc.)
    • Audience Impact — 10% – How the audience is affected by your song.
  • Banzai and Tagalized Category
    • Voice Quality — 30%  (in-tune voice quality to the original song, suits their voice and right notes perfectly.
    • Originality and Creativity – 40% (originality of the song translation and quality of lyrics).
    • Stage Presence — 20% confidence, stage presence, style Interaction with the audience, etc.)
    • Audience Impact — 10% – How the audience is affected by your song.
