Spinning Manila: J-Pop Live!

The Japan Foundation Manila (JFM) proudly brings Japanese Artists Diana Garnet, Joe Inoue and THE BEATMOTORS to the Philippines for the Spinning Manila: J-Pop Live! last February 28, 2016 at Whitespace Manila, Makati City. Japanese pop music fans had fun and enjoyed the whole event packed with lively music from the talented artists.

The event started with the very talented Japanese band: THE BEATMOTORS where they showcased their music: which is described as systematically simple with a bit of an edge. The group is composed of Masahi Akiba, Tetsuro Kimura, Johnny Yanagawa and Takahiro Shikano.



Next up is the performance of Joe Inoue, known for his song “Closer” which was used as the opening theme for Naruto Shippuden. He performed some western song such as “Jetlag” and medley for some of the known Anime songs from One Piece, Naruto, Dragon Ball Z, Tokyo Ghoul and One Punch Man. He also composed a song which he dedicate for Filipino fans.



Lastly is the performance from Diana Garnet, known for her hit single “Spinning World” which was used as the closing theme for Naruto Shippuden. She also performed song hit Anime songs from Rurouni Kenshin, Naruto, Vocaloid, Ano Hana and Neon Genesis Evangelion.



The awarding for JFM’s Facebook Cosplay Photo Contest has been held and the three winning cosplayers brought home prices from Canon Philippines.
